Destination: Cayo Largo del Sur
Cayo Largo del Sur
Cayo Largo del Sur is the second largest island of the Canarreos Archipelago. It is located between the Gulf of Batabanó and the Caribbean Sea, 114 kilometers (71 miles) to the east of the Isle of Youth, 80 kilometers (50 miles) to the south of the Zapata Peninsula. This lovely place boasts 26 kilometers (16.2 miles) of white sands, crystal clear waters and unexplored depths. It's beautiful beaches include Playa Blanca, Playa Lindamar, Playa Sirena, Playa Luna, Playa Tortuga and Playa Los Cocos. Here one can practice all kinds of nautical sports including deep sea fishing and fly fishing.

Sol Club Cayo Largo
The most beautiful beach is Playa Sirena which is reached by a short boat trip from the marina. Cayo Largo del Sur offers an ideal environment to see great pelagic species of fish. The area is also under very strict ecological protection to safeguard it's reefs and sea life.

From Cayo Largo there are excursions by yacht to various nearby keys like Cayo Rico, Cayo Iguana, Cayo Pájaros, Cayo Cantiles and Cayo Rosario. Access to Cayo Largo is via yacht or private plane with no visa required, or by flights from Varadero or Havana.
Accommodations: Club Sol Cayo Largo (five-star, all inclusive) is our choice, but one can also stay at any of the other three and four-star hotels: Villa Capricho, Villa Iguana, Villa Coral, Villa Soledad, Isla del Sur, and Hotel Pelícano.
