For
US citizens and Residents
If you are a US citizen,
or live in the United States,
you should know that because
of the U.S embargo against
Cuba credit cards issued
by US banks cannot be accepted
here. It is also impossible
to make direct bank transfers
between the United States
and Cuba except by Cuban-Americans
to relatives in Cuba through
the licensing system of
the Department of the Treasury.
For that reason, and until
we have a secure on-line
credit card payments system
available, you will have
to transfer funds to our
bank account in California.
The account name, number
and other information will
be on your invoice. If a
statement of "purpose
of transfer" is required
on your transfer order,
DO NOT mention Cuba but
only mention "vacation
expense" or "travel
expense". |
|
 |
|
Citizens of the rest of
the world may make a bank
transfer to our account
at the Banco Financiero
Internacional (BFI) in Havana
but never in US dollars.
The transfer, in an amount
equivalent to the US dollar
total of our invoice, can
be made in Canadian dollars,
Euros or any other freely
convertible currency based
on the exchange rate of
the day of the transfer.
